Business Development - Head of robotics & drones (m/f/d)

As Head of Robotics & Drones (m/f/d)

  • you will assume strategic and operational responsibility for establishing, developing, and scaling our business unit in the field of robotics and drone technologies. You will drive innovation, identify new market opportunities, and develop sustainable business models in a dynamic and technologically demanding environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive business development strategy for the Robotics & Drones division.
  • Identifying and evaluating new market potential, trends, and business opportunities.
  • Establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships (e.g., technology providers, startups, industry partners).
  • Responsibility for the commercialization of new products and solutions.
  • Leading interdisciplinary projects from concept to market launch.
  • Analyzing competitors as well as market and customer requirements.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (e.g., Engineering, Sales, Marketing) to ensure optimal implementation of solutions.
  • Developing go-to-market strategies and supporting the sales team.
  • Leading and expanding a global, high-performing team in the Robotics & Drones division.
  • Budget responsibility and reporting to senior management.

This job posting is for a full-time position (40 hours per week) at EJOT SE & Co. KG. The team meets weekly at our location in Bad Laasphe.

Your Experience - We'd love to meet you if you have the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience in business development, ideally in the fields of robotics, UAVs/drones, or automated systems.
  • A proven track record of success in developing new business areas or products.
  • A strong understanding of technological trends and innovations in the field of robotics and automation.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking combined with strategic foresight.
  • Experience leading teams and projects.
  • A global perspective is essential for you: With approximately 6–8 trips per year, including to Asia and North America, you will actively shape international collaboration.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills combined with a confident demeanor in an international setting.
  • Excellent German and English language skills round out your profile.
