Senior On-Board Diagnostic and Dependability Calibration Engineer

Ford Otosan is seeking a Senior On-Board Diagnostic and Dependability Calibration Engineer to join the Powertrain Calibration & Controls organization. This role is responsible for leading the calibration and validation of diagnostic systems to ensure compliance with global OBD and emission regulations while delivering monitoring functionality and robust diagnostic performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead calibration activities for diagnostic monitoring functions

.• Develop and optimize calibration strategies to meet component/system monitoring functionality, threshold optimization, diagnostic performance and regulatory targets

.• Analyze engine and vehicle test data and ensure technical robustness of calibration releases

.• Plan and execute engine dynamometer, chassis dynamometer, and on-road development tests

.• Support regulatory compliance, homologation, and calibration sign-off activities

.• Diagnose and perform root cause analysis for pre-production and field issues and define permanent corrective actions

.• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, test centers, and suppliers

.• Provide technical mentoring and knowledge sharing within the calibration team

.Required Qualification

s
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineerin

g.• Experience in OBD and/or vehicle/engine/aftertreatment calibratio

n.• Strong technical understanding of ICE and/or BEV systems and diagnostic control principle

s.• Advanced data analysis and problem-solving skill

s.• Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink is considered an advantag

e.• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional team

s.• Willingness to travel for development testing, and field issues when require
