Job Description: ADAS Engineer – Automotive Cybersecurity

Experience: 5+ Years

Role Overview

You’ll work on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems + make sure they’re secure from cyber threats. With cars becoming “computers on wheels”, OEMs/Tier-1s need engineers who know both ADAS + ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

- ADAS Development: Work on features like ACC, AEB, LKA, Parking Assist. Development in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, ROS, AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive.

- Cybersecurity Integration: Implement threat modeling, risk assessment as per ISO/SAE 21434 for ADAS ECUs, sensors, V2X communication.

- Security Testing: Do vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, fuzz testing on CAN, Ethernet, OTA updates. Use tools like CANoe, CANalyzer, Vector tools.

- Secure Design: Work on secure boot, encryption, key management, intrusion detection for ADAS domain controller. Coordinate with hardware team for HSM integration.

- Compliance: Ensure ADAS features meet UNECE WP.29, ISO 26262 functional safety + ISO 21434 cybersecurity requirements. Support audits and documentation.

- Debugging: Debug issues at ECU level using debuggers, logs, traces. RCA for field issues related to ADAS malfunction/security incidents.

Required Skills

- Technical: Strong C/C++ for embedded. AUTOSAR, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP. ADAS sensors: Radar, Camera, LiDAR basics.

- Cybersecurity: ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29, Threat modeling, Secure coding, Cryptography basics, PKI, TLS. Tools: Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, Wireshark, Kali basics.

- Functional Safety: ISO 26262 awareness - ASIL rating for ADAS features.

- Tools: MATLAB/Simulink, Python for automation, Git, Jira.

Qualifications

- Education: B.E/B.Tech in ECE/EEE/CS. http://M.Tech preferred.

- Experience: 5 years in automotive embedded. 1+ year exposure to cybersecurity/21434 is a big plus.

- Certifications: ISO 21434 Foundation, CEH, or AUTOSAR certification adds value.
