This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll own testing activities, influence product development, and ensure our equipment meets the highest standards in the industry.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll lead and coordinate testing efforts across the full development lifecycle—serving as a key authority on equipment validation.
Drive Equipment Validation Excellence
- Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities, ensuring all systems meet defined product requirements
- Plan, execute, and document comprehensive test programs
- Apply your knowledge of rotary drilling applications to ensure testing reflects real-world operating conditions
- Provide guidance on validation methods across:
- Mechanical systems
- Hydraulics and fluid power
- Electrical and control systems
- Safety systems
- Establish and maintain standards for test procedures and reporting
- Ensure accurate, objective, and high-quality documentation
- Develop data acquisition strategies and measurement approaches
- Analyze results and translate findings into actionable insights for engineering teams
- Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Technical Services teams
- Provide technical mentorship and contribute to building testing capability across the organization
- Ensure test equipment, instrumentation, and systems are calibrated, maintained, and ready
- Support modifications and upgrades to meet evolving testing needs
Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in heavy equipment, mining equipment, or similar industrial environments
- Background in equipment operation, maintenance, testing, engineering, or product support
- Ability to work in the U.S. on a full-time indefinite basis without sponsorship
- Strong understanding of complex systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, control systems
- Experience with testing, diagnostics, or system validation
- Familiarity with tools such as data acquisition and diagnostic systems (e.g., CAN-based tools, Hydac, CAT ET, Cummins Insite)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and develop effective testing strategies
- Confidence performing calculations to evaluate system performance
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams
- Ability to clearly document and present technical findings
- Technical degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience
- 100% on-site role based in Alachua, FL
- Work across office, manufacturing, and field environments
- Ability to work in industrial conditions and wear PPE as required
- International travel up to :20% (including trips of up to 3 weeks)
