Braking Engineering Manager

Scope of role

Engineering Manager is responsible for the management a Team and processes in the Aftermarket Engineering department, which is responsible for:

• Product design or modification according to customer or internal requirements and standards;
• Coordination of tasks between manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and other stakeholders involved in development process.
• Improve know-how in the area of car spare parts

Responsibilities

• Building a team based on the talents and competencies of subordinate employees.
• Overseeing the development of product specifications based on internal requirements and legal aspects.
• Managing the implementation of the most important and demanding projects.
• Providing high-quality consulting services to internal and external clients.
• Collaborating with senior management, representing the department or team in presenting reports and analyses.
• Planning the department or team budget and adhering to established financial targets.
• Managing or participating in the implementation of large and complex projects and tasks.
• Human resource planning and their continuous development.
• Long-term planning based on the company's strategy. (Projects, human resources, responsibilities)
• Decision-making related to the resources and processes of the subordinate department.
• Overseeing the resolution of complex problems within a team or department, determining the best courses of action.
• Responsible for resolving unprecedented issues requiring a creative approach and original solutions.
• Utilizing experience and knowledge in decision-making and selecting methods and techniques for task execution.
• Conducting assessments, analyses, and recommending solutions for process design and development, in accordance with internal and external regulations.
• Managing development processes internal requirements creation and execution
• Co-creating the department's development strategy based on the company's strategic goal
• Responibility for budget.
• Supervision of product development processes
• Coordination of responsibilities among subordinate employees and management of employee work time
• Implementation/supervision of engineering changes to existing products in line with internal requirements;
• Reporting results in line with internal requirements;
• Support for Product Managers.
• Analysis of work results, optimization of team work
• Team development by identifying weaknesses, resulting in the selection of appropriate training for employees and defining career paths.
• Defining and processing short- and long-term goals.

Requirements

1. Higher education (preferably technical);
2. Knowledge of Braking technology
3. High level of technical skills;
4. Ability to plan and think strategically.
5. Proficiency in spoken and written English at a minimum of C1 level;
6. Conflict resolution skills;
7. Ability to delegate tasks, coordinate, and supervise.
8. Empathy and building trust within a team.
9. Decision-making and time management skills.
10. Several years of team management experience;
11. Experience in budgeting and task planning.
12. Ability to work in an international team;
13. Accuracy, reliability, and systematic approach;
14. Communication skills;
15. Responsibility and self-discipline.
16. High stress resistance and a strong mentality.
