Senior Engineer – Ego Motion Estimation

Accurate motion and state estimation is a foundational capability across our systems.

It directly impacts robustness, autonomy, and downstream algorithmic performance.

We are looking for a senior engineer with a strong academic foundation and substantial professional experience who can take ownership of motion estimation pipelines based on inertial and related sensor data.

💡 Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain motion estimation and odometry pipelines
• Develop and evaluate estimation approaches for nonlinear, noisy systems
• Work with real-world and simulated sensor data
• Analyze failure cases and improve robustness and numerical stability
• Collaborate closely with adjacent algorithm and system teams

🧠 Requirements

• Excellent Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
• Several years of full-time, professional experience in motion estimation and localization (student roles, internships, or purely academic projects are not sufficient)
• Strong background in inertial sensing and nonlinear estimation
• Practical experience with filtering-based estimation methods
• Solid mathematical and numerical foundations
• Experience working with real, imperfect sensor data

• Sensor fusion beyond single-sensor setups
• Simulation-to-real workflows
• Embedded or hardware-adjacent development
