About The Role

As Validation Trainer, you are responsible for the capability and confidence of our validation driver team. You will support the design and delivery of training programmes that ensure every driver can safely operate autonomous vehicles on public roads, execute test missions accurately, and respond correctly in safety-critical situations.

This is a specialist training role embedded within the validation operations function. You will deliver onboarding, certification, and recertification programmes for validation drivers, work closely with engineering and operations teams to keep training content current, and use performance data and incident trends to continuously improve the programme. You will spend significant time on the road and in the field alongside the drivers you are developing.

What You’ll Be Doing

Training Design and Delivery

  • Support the design and delivery of training programmes for validation drivers covering vehicle operation, AV system monitoring, disengagement protocols, data logging, and SOP compliance
  • Develop structured onboarding programmes for new validation drivers including classroom, simulator, and on-road training components
  • Deliver periodic recertification and refresher training aligned with system updates, new test routes, and evolving partner requirements
  • Create and maintain training materials including SOPs, assessment frameworks, route guides, and onboard tool tutorials

On-Road and Field Training

  • Accompany drivers on live test routes to assess driving standards, situational awareness, and SOP adherence in real conditions
  • Provide real-time coaching and structured post-session feedback to accelerate driver development
  • Support driver certification assessments and maintain accurate records of certification status for all team members
  • Assist the Validation Team Lead in onboarding new drivers and assessing readiness for independent operation

Performance and Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor driver performance metrics and quality audit findings to identify recurring skill gaps
  • Identify opportunities using Kaizen principles to improve training content, delivery methods, and assessment standards; propose changes to the Training Manager for review and approval
  • Collaborate with the Training Manager and AV Safety Manager to embed safety protocols into all validation training
  • Update training content promptly following software releases, route changes, or SOP revisions

Compliance and Records

  • Maintain complete, audit-ready training and certification records for all validation drivers
  • Ensure all training programmes meet Moove AV, partner, and RTA qualification standards
  • Flag any driver performance or compliance concerns to the Validation Team Lead and Training Manager

What You Will Need For This Position

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in AV testing, professional driving, or a related operational field
  • Prior experience in a training, coaching, or mentoring capacity strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of AV validation operations, disengagement protocols, and data logging procedures
  • Comfortable delivering training both in classroom settings and in live on-road environments
  • Strong observational skills; able to assess driver behaviour accurately and deliver feedback constructively
  • Calm and professional under pressure; models exemplary safety-first behaviour at all times
  • Valid UAE driving licence with a clean driving record; minimum 3 years of experience
  • Fluent in English; Arabic a strong advantage
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field preferred
    • Equivalent combination of technical qualifications and relevant AV or automotive experience may be considered
What Does Success Look Like

  • All validation drivers certified and operationally ready before independent deployment
  • Recertification completed on schedule with no compliance gaps
  • Driver disengagement quality and data logging accuracy improving over time
  • Training content always current and aligned with live operational requirements
