About The RoleIn this role, you will design and develop advanced robotics solutions across multiple domains, including ground, aerial, and underwater systems. As part of the SoftServe Robotics Group, you will accelerate development, optimize performance, and reduce costs before production. From AI-driven simulation to full-scale production, you'll provide end-to-end robotics solutions, bringing ideas to life.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robotics solutions for mobile robots, drones, and autonomous systems
- Build rapid prototypes and evolve them into production-ready solutions
- Develop and maintain complex robotics systems, including perception, planning, and control components
- Test robotics solutions in simulation and real-world environments
- Work with simulation tools such as Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Bullet, or CARLA
- Integrate robotic systems with cloud services for scalability and enhanced functionality
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and maintainability through testing and CI/CD practices
- Contribute to system architecture design, including HW/SW integration
- Expertise in C/C++ and Python
- MSc in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, Applied Mathematics, or related field
- Hands-on experience with robotics frameworks (ROS/ROS2, RViz) and simulation tools (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Bullet, CARLA)
- Practical experience in mobile robots, drones, AMRs, AGVs, AVs, or automotive systems
- Strong knowledge of robotics domains: perception, trajectory planning, kinematics, obstacle avoidance
- Solid understanding of sensors, actuators, and control systems, and background in system design, architecture, and performance evaluation
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
- Experience with testing, CI/CD, build, deployment, and monitoring processes
- Familiarity with functional safety standards and system reliability practices
- Experience with odometry solutions such as LIO-SAM
- Knowledge of CUDA or hardware acceleration techniques (nice to have)
- Strong analytical skills and mathematical foundation
