What You'll Do
Transport Network Design and Optimization
- Design, implement, develop, and lead optimization of inbound and packaging return transport setups (routes, frequency, consolidation, transport modes such as Air, Ocean, OTR).
- Define, evaluate, and optimize transport flows, lead times, delivery windows, and network structures to ensure stable supply and efficient operations.
- Own and drive optimization of core performance drivers including fill rate, utilization, delivery frequency, lead time, working capital, and cost per car.
- Continuously challenge existing transport setups and drive structural improvements that reduce waste and strengthen overall network efficiency.
- Lead implementation of new lanes, tier-1 supplier relocations, and network changes, ensuring strong execution and stable integration into running operations.
- Drive continuous adjustments to keep the network aligned with changing volumes and business conditions.
- Take ownership of developing and leading practical solutions in both short-term operational challenges and longer-term network improvement needs.
- Translate analysis and business requirements into practical, implemented network improvements.
- Own and drive measurable cost reduction through improved network design, utilization, and transport mode strategy.
- Develop, evaluate, and drive decision-making on transport solutions from an end-to-end perspective, balancing cost, service, lead time, and working capital impact.
- Lead RFQs, business cases, and network development to ensure scalable and efficient transport solutions.
- Own and drive performance follow-up and provide clear explanations of cost development and key performance drivers.
- Provide structured, advanced data-driven insights including cost per car, fill rate, transit time, and delivery balance.
- Explain cost movements, identify structural drivers behind performance changes, and convert findings into clear actions for improvement.
- Act as a key interface and lead coordination between internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional alignment and influence decision-making to ensure transport solutions are feasible, effective, and successfully implemented.
- Lead and support complex network go-lives, carrier implementations, and hyper care activities for new or changed transport network setups.
- Represent inbound logistics in projects and ensure optimization requirements are reflected in decisions and implementation.
