Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled HIL Validation Engineer to support model-based development and validation activities for automotive/embedded systems. The role involves designing, developing, and executing test strategies across Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments to ensure high-quality, reliable system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test cases for MIL, SIL, and HIL environments.
- Design and maintain automated test frameworks for model-based development.
- Validate system and software requirements using simulation and real-time testing platforms.
- Perform integration testing and debugging of embedded systems.
- Collaborate with system, software, and controls engineering teams for requirement clarification.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis.
- Develop test scripts using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or C/C++.
- Work with HIL setups such as dSPACE, Vector, NI (National Instruments) or similar platforms.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262 (functional safety), if applicable.
- Maintain documentation for test procedures, results, and traceability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in HIL/SIL/MIL testing.
- Strong knowledge of model-based development (MBD).
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with automated testing tools and scripting (Python, CAPL, or similar).
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Experience in test case design, execution, and reporting.
- Understanding of embedded systems and control algorithms.
