Carrier Relations Manager

CloudCom is a telecommunications technology company focused on Open Gateway and Network APIs, working with mobile operators on API enablement and monetization. We help turn network capabilities into scalable digital products, supporting operators as they bring new API opportunities to market and create value for enterprise customers.

This role sits at the intersection of telecom partnerships, API commercialization, and ecosystem collaboration. As Carrier Relations Manager, you will help shape how operators engage with CloudCom, support the rollout of network API initiatives, and work across internal and external stakeholders to move opportunities from onboarding through launch.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage strategic relationships with Tier-1 and Tier-2 MNOs across multiple regions.
• Act as the primary point of contact between CloudCom and operator teams across technical, commercial, legal, and security functions.
• Lead operator onboarding for Open Gateway / Network API enablement.
• Drive adoption of Network APIs including Number Verification, SIM Swap Detection, KYC and Identity APIs, Device Status and Line Status, and Silent Authentication.
• Define commercial models such as revenue share, per-transaction, and success-based pricing.
• Support go-to-market strategies with operators and enterprise customers.
• Work closely with GSMA Open Gateway and CAMARA standards.
• Ensure operator implementations align with CAMARA API specifications.
• Represent CloudCom in industry forums, operator workshops, and partner meetings.
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Security, and Legal teams.
• Translate operator network capabilities into developer-ready APIs.
• Support roadmap planning based on operator readiness and market demand.
• Assist operators with security and compliance alignment, API SLAs and operational readiness, and regulatory considerations including KYC, privacy, and consent.
• Support pilots, proofs of concept, and commercial launches.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in carrier relations, telecom partnerships, or wholesale telecom.
• Experience at manager level, director level, or as a senior individual contributor with deep carrier-partnership experience.
• Solid understanding of Mobile Network Operator environments.
• Hands-on exposure to Network APIs, CPaaS, or telco digital platforms.
• Experience engaging and negotiating with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience working with global operators and cross-regional teams.
• Background in CPaaS, fintech, or digital identity solutions.
• Previous involvement in operator API monetization initiatives.
• Experience working in operators or with operators in telecom companies such as Telkomsel, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, or XLSMART Telecom.
• Available for meetings during Cairo time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of GSMA Open Gateway and CAMARA APIs.
• Experience with Identity and Authentication APIs, telco security standards such as OAuth2, OIDC, and CIBA, and Network Exposure concepts including NEF, network slicing, or identity APIs.
