Support monthly and quarterly commission processing, including reviewing sales and commission data, validating calculations, and ensuring accurate payout results
Investigate commission-related questions and discrepancies (such as missing data, incorrect crediting, splits, or adjustments), document findings, and communicate resolutions clearly
Process commission adjustments such as true-ups, corrections, clawbacks, and incentive payments with proper documentation and approvals
Prepare and support monthly journal entries related to commission expense and accruals, perform reconciliations, and help explain period-over-period changes and key drivers
Partner with US-based Accounting and Payroll teams to support financial close timelines and commission payouts
Review and reconcile data across multiple reports and systems to ensure completeness and accuracy
Identify discrepancies, root causes, and recommend solutions to improve data accuracy and process efficiency
Help maintain documentation, support audits, and ensure processes follow internal controls and company policies
Support process improvement and automation initiatives to improve scalability and efficiency Checkr
Partner with global teams to support accurate tracking of employee compensation changes including hires, terminations, transfers, and role changes
Collaborate effectively with US-based stakeholders while working in an offshore environment, ensuring clear communication, strong documentation, and timely follow-through
Use Excel, reporting tools, and internal systems to review, validate, and analyze commission data
Support process documentation and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen operational efficiency
5+ years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record of owning month-end close processes and financial reconciliations?
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, CPA/CA or CPA/CA track is a plus
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and large datasets (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF statements, pivots)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadline-driven work with consistent accuracy.
Working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Oracle). Experience with CaptivateIQ (or similar commission software), JIRA, and Salesforce are considered strong assets.
A self-starter who takes initiative to identify and resolve issues before they escalate. You are comfortable working independently to manage your workflow while knowing when to loop in the Commissions Lead for support.
