Responsibilities include:
- Lead development of primary and secondary radar products which provide safety-critical surveillance throughout the world
- Lead technical investigation and top-level design for new feature development and change requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Execute hands-on product integration and troubleshooting for digital and RF systems using dedicated test equipment, command line interfaces and computer network analysis tools.
- Develop MATLAB tools to support performance prediction, system and product verification, and system analysis
- Develop and propose new technologies and capabilities to enhance product performance
- Develop and maintain specifications and technical documentation to support customer deliverables and internal systems engineering processes.
- Analyze requirements, assess compliance, perform gap analysis, etc. in order to develop technical, cost, and schedule estimates to support design reviews and proposal activities.
- Balance competing interests from multiple stakeholder groups
- Coordinate with product development management to ensure technical, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved while maintaining acceptable levels of risk.
- Mentor and lead junior engineers within your team and throughout the organization.
- Domestic and international travel may be required, generally less than 10%.

Skills and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related discipline
- 7+ years of relevant experience in safety-critical industries (e.g., aerospace, defense/military, medical, nuclear, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency with electromechanical and/or embedded software systems
- Demonstrated proficiency with technologies applicable to advanced radar systems
- Demonstrated programming and data analysis skills
- Experience with requirements management, system design, and system/subsystem integration
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to form productive relationships within a team
- Excellent written and oral communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to lead and grow junior engineers
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline
- Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) customers including Science & Technology and system development communities
- Experience with the DoD architectural framework and design guidance for radar systems and systems engineering processes
- Experience with Eurocontrol, FAA, or other air traffic procedures, operations, and systems
- Experience with RF systems, sensor data processing, position estimation, and/or tracking
- Experience with networked computer systems, cybersecurity, and/or system hardening
- Strong Linux background in embedded and/or server systems
