About Nature Robots

Nature Robots is a disruptive robotics and AI startup dedicated to transforming agriculture through innovation. We are committed to developing cutting-edge solutions that support regenerative and sustainable farming practices, addressing the challenges posed by climate change, population growth, and the need for local food production.

The Opportunity

As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing autonomous navigation and precision farming software. Your work will directly contribute to our full-stack, modular autonomy platform for complex agricultural environments. Join us in creating technology that empowers farmers and enhances sustainable food production.

Your Role

  • Hardware Design & Assembly: Design, prototype, and assemble robust electromechanical systems and enclosures for our agricultural robots.
  • Sensor & Actuator Integration: Integrate hardware components, including motors, drive systems, and sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU, etc.) into the physical robot architecture.
  • Electronics & Wiring: Develop electrical schematics, design custom PCBs, and manage power distribution systems and wiring harnesses.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the software team to ensure seamless communication between microcontrollers, embedded systems, and our software stack.
  • Interdisciplinary Work: Broad range of tasks beyond pure hardware; participation in FPGA development and/or embedded software; close collaboration with software and algorithm teams.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous field tests to validate hardware reliability, mechanical robustness, and overall system performance in real-world agricultural conditions.
  • Maintenance & Optimization: Troubleshoot hardware issues, iterate on existing designs, and optimize the robotic platforms for durability and manufacturing.

What you bring

  • Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Professional experience related to the development of an end-user product, specifically involving electromechanical prototyping and hardware assembly.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) for mechanical design.
  • Hands-on experience with electronics design, soldering, circuit troubleshooting, and microcontroller programming (e.g., C/C++).
  • Experience with embedded systems and integrating hardware with robotics frameworks.
  • Experience in agricultural robotics is a plus but not required.
  • Passion for sustainable agriculture and autonomous systems.

Our offer

  • A meaningful role in a pioneering software & agri-tech startup making a real-world impact with real products.
  • No corporate politics: Short decision-making paths, real responsibility from day one, and an extremely steep learning curve.
  • Flexibility & Trust: Hybrid working, flexible working hours, and a culture based on trust rather than micromanagement.
  • A meaningful role in a pioneering agri-tech startup making a real-world impact.
  • We offer challenges every day and organic growth opportunities as the company scales.
  • Corporate Benefit collection.
