Indexed description
Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated student (m/f/diverse) to join our System Engineering team from August 2026 for a duration of approx. 6 months and contribute to the development of next-generation radar-based localization technologies for automotive applications.
During this internship, you will work on advanced algorithms for processing sparse radar data and support the development of innovative approaches to improve vehicle localization and state estimation. You will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art radar sensing technologies and contribute to real-world challenges in automated and assisted driving systems.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Analyze and evaluate existing approaches for radar-based point cloud registration
- Implement and optimize Iterative Closest Point (ICP) algorithms for sparse radar data
- Develop and assess quality metrics and confidence indicators to improve registration robustness and minimize localization errors
- Evaluate the performance of developed algorithms using simulation and measurement data
- Document results and present findings to the project team
- Student (m/f/diverse) in Industrial Engineering or a comparable field of study
