Job Description
Grid Dynamics (NASDAQ:GDYN) is looking for a Senior Architect, Physical AI and Robotics to lead internal product engineering and major programs around Physical AI and Autonomous Robotics with Fortune 1000 clients. We are looking for a result-oriented thought-leader to design Physical AI and Autonomous Robotics platforms, guide their implementation, and collaborate with clients and technology partners.
Responsibilities:
- R&D and Technology Strategy: Create and bring to the market solutions in physical AI with a focus on autonomous machinery and robotics. Drive innovation through research and development activities on industry trends, leading RnD teams, developing assets and solutions strategy across multiple industries.
- Solutioning and Engineering: Lead physical AI and manufacturing IoT programs of Fortune-1000 enterprises and lead teams of AI and data engineers who work on client accounts and drive engagements to success.
- Partnership Development: Develop relationships with key technology partners such as AWS, Azure, GPC, and NVIDIA by creating licensable artifacts.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in creating perception, autonomy, or robotic control solutions for Automotive, Manufacturing, or High Tech industries. Deep understanding of autonomous driving and/or robotic control domains (cars, off-road machinery, AGVs, drones, or perception-centric manipulation), its challenges, use cases, and solution strategies.
- Strong experience with conventional computer vision, navigation, policy control, and end-to-end perception to action pipelines. Good understanding of deep learning fundamentals, model design principles, training and tuning techniques.
- Strong understanding of MLOps and simulation, and corresponding tooling including open-source, cloud native, and proprietary. Hands-on expertise with end-to-end pipelines involving data ingestion, annotation, simulation, model creation, model deployment, and production observability.
- Practical experience in Big Data engineering, data strategies, and cloud data platforms. Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures for data collection, aggregation, governance, and reporting.
- Experience with leading teams of senior technologists, running product engineering or consulting organizations. Willingness and ability to drive internal RnD, technical pre-sales, and solution deployment and delivery.
Technology skills:
- Strong expertise evaluating, customizing, and deploying perception and action models using PyTorch/JAX: segmentation and objects detection, motion generation and VLA, video generation and world models. Deep understanding of model design, evaluation, selection, and observability methodologies.
- Strong expertise with autonomous driving stack: simulation using NVIDIA IsaacSim or Carla, data augmentation using NVIDIA Cosmos or similar, edge-hardware feasibility analysis, safety and validation architectures.
- Strong expertise with relevant AWS/Azure services, open source AI platforms, and edge devices: Ray.io, Sagemaker, Airflow, DVC, MLFlow, TensorRT, NVIDIA Jetson.
