Entra ID and ID Management specialist

About the Opportunity

A newly established digital banking venture is building the next generation of financial services in Japan and is seeking an experienced Entra ID & Identity Management Specialist to lead identity and access management initiatives from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing organization during its formation stage and play a key role in designing, implementing, and operating modern identity infrastructure that will support a large-scale digital banking platform.

Position Summary

As the subject matter expert for Microsoft Entra ID and related identity technologies, you will be responsible for architecting and managing enterprise identity solutions, establishing governance frameworks, and supporting secure access management across cloud platforms and SaaS environments.

You will work closely with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to develop scalable identity services while contributing to major initiatives such as system integrations, new application onboarding, and organizational expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Identity & Access Management

• Design and establish governance models for:
• User principals
• Service principals
• Dynamic groups
• Define and maintain enterprise identity management standards and best practices.
• Implement and manage:
• Identity lifecycle management
• Group management
• Access governance
• Federation services

Cloud & Automation

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments using:
• Terraform
• GitHub
• Automate identity administration processes through scripting and workflow automation.
• Support cloud identity integrations across multiple platforms and applications.

Security & Compliance

• Partner with security teams to implement identity controls aligned with:
• CIS Controls
• CIS Benchmarks
• Strengthen authentication and access management frameworks.
• Contribute to governance and compliance initiatives within a regulated financial environment.

Integration & Transformation Projects

• Lead identity integration efforts during organizational and system consolidation projects.
• Support onboarding of new SaaS platforms and enterprise applications.
• Design and implement federated authentication using:
• SAML
• SCIM
• OAuth

Technical Leadership

• Serve as the primary internal expert for Microsoft Entra ID technologies.
• Stay current with emerging Microsoft identity solutions and industry best practices.
• Provide guidance, troubleshooting support, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and administering:
• Microsoft Entra ID
• Azure Active Directory
• Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and principles.
• Working knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies:
• SAML
• SCIM
• OAuth
• Basic scripting and automation skills.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Business-level English communication skills (approximately TOEIC 700+ level).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
