Job Summary/Purpose
As a Cybersecurity Solution Architect, you'll work alongside experienced cybersecurity and IT professionals to help design and implement secure technology solutions across Entergy's cybersecurity organization. You'll play a key role in applying security architecture principles to projects, reviewing security requirements, evaluating risks, and documenting design decisions and mitigation strategies for systems and applications.
Working closely with Enterprise Cybersecurity Architects, you'll help translate security strategy into practical solutions that support business needs while strengthening the organization's cybersecurity posture.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Design and implement cybersecurity solutions that align with Enterprise Cybersecurity Architecture standards and business needs.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, Enterprise Cybersecurity Architects, vendors, project managers, and technical teams to integrate security into projects and resolve architecture-related issues.
- Review and document security requirements, design decisions, risks, and mitigation strategies for systems and applications.
- Support system security, operational activities, and compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional specifications, use cases, and other technical documentation.
- Develop and maintain traceability between business requirements, functional specifications, and project deliverables.
- Create and maintain procedures, work instructions, and project documentation.
- Ensure work products are complete and ready for transition to development and Quality Assurance teams.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to develop secure, scalable, and technically sound solutions.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. An advanced degree is preferred.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience working with cybersecurity technologies and supporting business needs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
We're looking for someone who has:
- A strong understanding of industry-recognized cybersecurity solutions.
- Experience developing customer-focused technology solutions.
- Working knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM), Security Operations (SecOps), Network Security, and Security Engineering.
- Experience with cybersecurity architecture concepts and integrating business requirements with security technology capabilities.
- Strong planning, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
