IT Security Engineer II – Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Location: Remote (Must reside in Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin) with occasional onsite meetings in the Chicagoland area

We're seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer II – Identity & Access Management (IAM) to join a growing cybersecurity team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building and enhancing an organization's identity security program while leading the implementation of a new Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platform.
As the first dedicated IAM engineer on the team, you'll help shape the organization's identity strategy, drive enterprise security initiatives, and mentor teammates looking to grow into IAM engineering roles.
What You'll Do
- Lead the implementation of a new Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solution (SailPoint or Saviynt).
- Configure and onboard Single Sign-On (SSO) applications.
- Design and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models.
- Administer and engineer Active Directory solutions.
- Develop automation using PowerShell (or Python).
- Manage access reviews and certification processes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to strengthen identity security.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the IAM practice.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management or Information Security Engineering.
- Hands-on experience implementing or supporting an Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platform.
- Experience configuring and supporting Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
- Working knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM).
- Strong Active Directory administration and engineering experience.
- Proficiency with PowerShell (Python experience will also be considered).
- Solid understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) design and identity lifecycle management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SailPoint and/or Saviynt.
- Experience participating in enterprise IAM or IGA implementations.
- Familiarity with JSON and JavaScript.
- Experience automating identity management processes.
