About the Role

We are a private investment firm building out our internal technology and AI capabilities from the ground up. We are looking for a hands-on, highly curious, and autonomous builder to help lead that effort.

This is a rare opportunity to own AI implementation at a growing firm, working directly with leadership to design, build, and deploy tools that make our investment and operations teams run smarter. You won't be maintaining someone else's legacy codebase; you'll be helping define our entire technical and AI roadmap from scratch.

To succeed in this role, you need a unique mix of technical chops and a consulting mindset. You must be able to sit down with our investment professionals, map their daily workflows, and build secure, lightweight, and highly adopted AI-powered solutions that integrate cleanly with our systems.

What You'll Do

• Translate Workflows into AI Tools: Meet with internal stakeholders to understand their processes (such as investment research, due diligence, and CRM workflows) and translate them into custom AI-native tools and automated pipelines.
• Build and Deploy Custom MCP Servers: Design and build custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to securely expose our internal databases, CRM (e.g., Salesforce), and local files to LLM orchestration layers.
• Develop Lightweight Frontends: Build, refine, and deploy user-friendly internal tools using modern, rapid-development stacks (React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Supabase / Postgres).
• Integrate & Orchestrate: Hook AI capabilities into our existing core productivity tools (Microsoft 365 / G Suite, CRM, and Slack/Teams) using APIs and low-code/no-code platforms.
• Manage Cloud & Data Security: Support secure cloud deployments (primarily AWS or Azure) utilizing proper API gateway security, OAuth 2.0/2.1, and basic data privacy controls to ensure sensitive firm data remains secure.
• Rapid Prototyping: Build functional MVPs (Minimum Viable Products) in days, not months. Gather direct feedback from the firm's partners and iterate aggressively.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, technical consulting, integration engineering, or startup product roles.
• The "Builder" DNA: Genuine, hands-on experience building tools with LLM APIs, semantic search/RAG, and agentic workflows. You should be comfortable discussing prompt engineering, system instructions, and tool calling.
• API & Integration Chops: Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhook architectures, and backend database integrations. Direct experience with, or a passionate eagerness to master, Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a must.
• Modern Web Stack: Experience with React, TypeScript, and modern, fast-to-ship backend services like Supabase, Firebase, or serverless functions.
• Consulting Instincts: Outstanding communication skills. You can explain complex AI technical capabilities to finance partners without using heavy technical jargon, and you can map manual workflows into structured, logical schemas.
• Self-Starter Mentality: You enjoy autonomy. You'd rather ship a working prototype that solves 80% of a problem tomorrow than spend two weeks drafting a system architecture document.
