Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IAM Consultant to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. This role combines strategic advisory responsibilities with hands-on technical expertise to help deliver secure, scalable, and compliant identity services across cloud and hybrid environments.
The successful candidate will work closely with business, security, architecture, and technology teams to develop IAM strategies, implement best practices, and support the adoption of modern identity and access controls.
Key Responsibilities
Core IAM Expertise
- Demonstrate deep understanding of Identity Federation, SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), LDAP, and Active Directory.
- Design IAM solutions across cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Apply knowledge of Zero Trust security models and frameworks to support IAM strategy and roadmap development.
- Utilise Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and work with IAM platforms such as Okta, ForgeRock, CyberArk, SailPoint, and similar technologies.
- Apply relevant compliance and governance standards including NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX.
- Design and maintain enterprise-wide IAM architectures covering Authentication, Authorisation, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Identity Governance.
- Define IAM standards, frameworks, and roadmaps aligned to business objectives and cyber security requirements.
- Evaluate, integrate, and optimise IAM technologies, with particular focus on Microsoft Entra ID, supporting hybrid identity environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Provide architecture recommendations and technical guidance for IAM initiatives and programmes.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, application owners, project teams, and compliance stakeholders to deliver IAM solutions.
- Provide advisory support for IAM transformation initiatives, cloud adoption programmes, access management modernisation, and Zero Trust implementations.
- Support security and business teams in implementing IAM governance controls and industry best practices.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate these into effective IAM solutions.
- Support IAM-related risk assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
- Provide technical guidance during identity-related security incidents, access reviews, and privilege management assessments.
- Ensure IAM controls align with organisational security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the development and implementation of identity governance and access control processes.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging IAM technologies, threats, and industry practices to support ongoing enhancement of identity security capabilities.
- Share knowledge and provide support to operational and project teams on IAM technologies, standards, and processes.
- Contribute to IAM awareness initiatives, documentation, and capability development across the organisation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years' experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) or related cyber security domains.
- Experience designing and implementing IAM solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Knowledge of authentication, authorisation, federation, and access management technologies.
- Experience working with IAM governance, compliance, and security controls.
- Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with Okta, ForgeRock, CyberArk, SailPoint, or similar IAM platforms.
- Experience supporting IAM strategy, transformation, or modernisation programmes.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Security Certifications, TOGAF, CCSP, or equivalent.
- Experience working within regulated environments.
- Salary Range: €60,000-€70,000
