What role will you play?
As an Identity Engineer, you will help design, build and operate the identity services that secure customer access to Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services platforms. You will contribute to the development of distributed identity and authentication services, supporting secure authentication, authorisation and API access at scale. Working in an Agile engineering team, you will participate across the full lifecycle: from design and development through to production operations. You will collaborate closely with identity, platform and application teams to ensure our systems remain secure, reliable and observable, while continuously improving engineering practices.
What You Offer
- You will have experience working with IAM systems and authentication flows
- Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of identity standards and protocols such as OIDC, OAuth, and SAML.
- Hands-on experience with IAM platforms like Ping, Okta, Entra ID, IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM), or similar tools
- A background in web and API technologies (REST, HTTP, certificates) is important for success in this role
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and SaaS technologies
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering practices
- The ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
