The Role
The Solutions Architect I supports the design, development, and implementation of application solutions within the SAP MII/UI5 environment. This role translates business requirements into technical solutions and contributes to the delivery of application functionality across the full lifecycle.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
Solution Design & Development
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs for SAP MII/UI5 applications
- Develop and maintain front-end interfaces (UI5) and support back-end services, APIs, and integrations
- Contribute to solution design decisions within defined scope, ensuring alignment with established architecture standards
- Support system integrations across enterprise and manufacturing platforms (e.g., ERP, MES, PLC systems)
- Own and deliver assigned components of application projects from development through deployment
- Participate in requirements gathering, design discussions, and solution reviews
- Execute testing activities, including unit testing and support for user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies
- Troubleshoot application and integration issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes
- Support system enhancements to improve performance, scalability, and usability
- Maintain technical documentation, configurations, and development standards
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand workflows and translate needs into technical solutions
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and senior architects to ensure quality delivery
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in application development, systems support, or related technical roles
- Experience working with web-based applications or enterprise systems (academic or professional)
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus
- Working knowledge of SAP MII and/or SAP UI5 development (or similar application frameworks)
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with XML and related web technologies/frameworks
- Exposure to backend development concepts, APIs, and system integrations
- Basic understanding of databases (SQL preferred)
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
