At DHL IT Services, we are passionate about API Management and System Integration. Our Prime & API (XAPIG) team is continuously expanding, and we are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to help us build, operate, and enhance our API gateway landscape. Whether you are strengthening your DevOps expertise or looking to broaden your experience across API platforms, automation, and cloud-native technologies, you'll find plenty of opportunities to grow in our diverse and collaborative environment.

Grow together

As a DevOps Engineer within Prime & API (XAPIG), you will contribute to the design, development, integration, and operation of API-based solutions across DHL's unified API gateway landscape. Working as part of an agile team, you will help deliver reliable, scalable, and secure API services that enable business units worldwide to connect seamlessly and innovate faster.

You will participate in the full API lifecycle, from design and development through deployment and retirement, while supporting platforms such as Apigee, XAPIG, and Axway. Leveraging DevOps practices, you will help implement CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment activities, and continuously improve operational efficiency across the platform ecosystem.

A key part of your role will involve maintaining the reliability and performance of production API services. You will use monitoring, logging, and observability tools to proactively identify issues, support incident resolution, and optimize platform health. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, you will help translate requirements into practical technical solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and processes.

For any challenges involving API integrations, microservices, automation, security, or platform operations, you will collaborate with experienced engineers across infrastructure, development, and security domains. Together, you will ensure that our API services remain secure, scalable, and aligned with DHL's global digitalization strategy.

Great Team

Hi, I'm Vignesh (Vikki), and I'm the hiring manager for this role.

My journey at DHL over the last 8 years has taken me from designing infrastructure solutions as an Infrastructure Architect to leading talented engineering teams. Along the way, I've learned that success is built on trust, curiosity, and a willingness to learn from one another. I enjoy creating an environment where people feel supported, challenged, and inspired to do their best work.

Together with our diverse and multinational team, we are focused on building reliable, secure, and innovative API platforms that enable DHL's digital transformation journey. If you're passionate about technology, continuous learning, and making a meaningful impact at global scale, I'd be excited to welcome you to the team.
