As a Software Engineer at PropertyGuru, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our business objectives and delight our users. Your commitment to best practices and collaborative approach will drive the success of our projects and contribute to the overall improvement of our development processes.

In Vietnam, PropertyGuru Group owns the leading online property marketplace, batdongsan.com.vn, which has over 4 million monthly property seekers generating 70 million page views and over 1 million new property listings added every month.

You Will Be Accountable For

• Develop software applications that meet requirement specifications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Perform thorough code reviews and unit testing to maintain code quality and adherence to best development practices.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and squads, including developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of existing core services and integration of new services.
• Direct AI coding agents to build features: owning the specification and staying accountable for the quality of what ships.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Proven experience in software development with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks. Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Commitment to maintaining high code quality through thorough code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best development practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Passion for continuous learning and improvement, staying updated with industry trends and best practices in software development.
• Curios and open-minded: keeps their skill current, experiments with new tools, and share what they learn.

Our tech stack centers around the JavaScript ecosystem and .NET, using Node.js and NestJS or .NET for the backend, React with JavaScript/TypeScript for the frontend, and Next.js for full-stack applications. We also work with MSSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Jest, Playwright, and Redis.

Our solutions are deployed and managed within an AWS cloud environment, leveraging its scalability, reliability, and managed services to support modern application architectures. Additionally, we integrate Copilot support into our development workflows to enhance productivity, streamline coding, and accelerate delivery through AI-assisted development.
