Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deliver secure, high-quality software solutions.

• Apply agile and extreme programming (XP) practices like test-driven development, paired programming, and continuous integration.

• Participate in iteration planning and daily standups, contributing to team backlog refinements.

• Engage in system design discussions to meet technical and business requirements.

• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices for scalable systems.

• Provide production support for software products and act as a subject matter expert.

What You'll Need

• 3-4+ years of software development experience.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing software using Java and J2EE.

• 1+ year applying Test Driven Development (TDD) and Extreme Programming (XP) practices within an Agile environment.

• Strong understanding of computer science concepts and object-oriented design principles.

• Familiarity with continuous integration and DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Maven).

• Proficiency in testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) and quality/security scanning tools.
