Full-Stack Engineer
Indexed description
AIDAR is building the future of artist scouting. We help A&Rs and music pros discover artists that actually fit their vision, using personalized AI agents that scout the music world 24/7. We're two founders, Janek leading product and tech, Caspar leading business and guiding product strategy and design, and we've launched publicly, have early paying customers, and have runway secured until summer 2027.
🛠 The RoleYou'll join as our full-stack developer, working directly with Janek across backend systems, frontend, and data pipelines, and with Caspar on product strategy and design as features take shape. The product is live and running, and it's time to scale it, evolve it, and make it sing.
This is early in the startup's journey: no hierarchies between you and the founders, fast communication instead of layers of approval, and priorities that shift quickly as the product and the market do. We communicate directly and expect the same in return, always with respect. Work when you work best, whatever hours suit you, as long as the output holds up; we care about getting things right, not about being seen at a desk. We aim to be a responsible company to work for, and the responsibility you get in return grows as the team grows.
🔧 Our Stack- Frontend: Flutter (web app and mobile app)
- Backend: Python
- Database: PostgreSQL
- Hosting: Hetzner (VM)
- €58,000–60,000 salary
- 1% equity (4-year vesting, 1-year cliff), with more responsibility and upside as the team grows
- 30 vacation days
- Based in Hamburg, remote possible within Germany
- Flexible working hours
- Strong Python skills with a focus on writing clean, well-structured, and consistent code
- Experience with Flutter, or solid frontend experience combined with a strong willingness to learn Flutter
- Comfortable working with large databases and complex datasets
- Based in Germany is a must
- Able to take ownership of open-ended problems: analyze the situation, evaluate different approaches, and ship the best solution. This role is about solving problems, not implementing perfectly specified requirements
- Interested in thinking beyond individual tasks. We're looking for someone who wants to understand the bigger picture, from our users' daily challenges to how every technical decision contributes to the product
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML (LLM agents, embeddings, recommendation systems, etc.) is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools to increase productivity while maintaining a robust, sustainable codebase
- Enjoys working closely with a two-person founding team, with direct feedback, shared decisions, and no layers between you and what gets built
- Bonus: experience in startups and/or the music industry
Send us your CV, and instead of a traditional cover letter, we'd like to see two things:
- Link us a piece of your code and explain why you think this is exactly what great code looks like.
- Tell us about a problem you solved recently. What was the problem? How did you approach it? Which solution did you choose, and why?

Caspar & Janek (Co-Founders)
