Deutsche Bank is looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to building, maintaining, and automating our cloud-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Responsibilities:
- Assist in the deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of scalable and secure infrastructure components on GCP.
- Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform to manage cloud resources.
- Support the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Workflows for efficient software delivery.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable application releases.
- Help automate repetitive operational tasks to improve system efficiency and reliability.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of scripts for automation, monitoring, and deployments.
- Adhere to and learn about security best practices in infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues.
- Foundational understanding of cloud concepts and services, with a strong interest in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Basic familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles; exposure to Terraform is a significant plus.
- Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git/GitHub.
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts; familiarity with GitHub Workflows is a bonus.
- Basic scripting skills in at least one language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, JavaScript).
- Awareness of containerization technologies like Docker.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
