Associate Software Engineer

As an Associate Software Engineer based out of our New York City office, you will work with a team that is composed of highly skilled and supportive individuals, with each engineer contributing uniquely to serve our U.S.-based car dealers and manufacturers. The development team oversees and takes ownership of the entire system development life cycle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of assigned tasks, both in terms of timeliness and software quality.
• Develop new software, and enhance existing software, to high standards. Adhere to best practices that enhance user experience, usability, scalability, performance and security.
• Learn about various components owned by the team and how these components fit within the overall platform.
• Develop clear communication skills when interacting with all stakeholders including regular progress and updates to your manager, peers and leads.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ experience in developing application using React, C#, .net.
• Knowledge of frontend and backend application design techniques.
• Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles: object-oriented design, structured design, databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, refactoring, debugging.
• Knowledge of NextJS, Postgres, micro frontend is a plus.

This is a consulting position. Generally, work is performed Monday through Friday, though holidays and weekends may be required. Currently our teams work 2 days per week in the office - subject to change in the future.
