Junior Application Developer

This is a great opportunity for a Junior Applications Developer to work and learn from a small, successful company with a reputation for providing high quality software and outstanding customer service. The role interacts primarily with internal colleagues.

We envisage that the role will develop according to the skills of the successful candidate, with plenty of opportunities for training and learning new skills.

Please note this role is based in Central Newbury (not far from the rail station), is 5 days a week in the office and free parking is not provided. Ideally we would like to find a candidate who lives within easy commuting distance of Newbury Town centre.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Confident amiable individual with a keen interest in IT and technology.
• Coding experience - ideally using Java and/or SQL
• Educated to at least ‘A’ level or equivalent, with excellent Maths and English skills (both verbal and written).
• A high level of reading and comprehension skills.
• Flexibility - as the need to adapt to changing priorities is key.
• The ability to learn new systems quickly and to demonstrate an understanding of the application.
• High level of organisation, logical and precise thinking, involving accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ideally you will also have some knowledge of both Data and IT Security.
