Software Integration and Test Engineer (On-site)

Our client is seeking a Software Integration and Test Engineer with experience and a passion for integrating and testing real-time embedded software. This role supports the integration of hardware modules into complex vehicle systems, software deployment on Linux operating systems, software verification testing, networking, cybersecurity hardening, troubleshooting, and problem-solving activities.
- Develop, debug, and execute automated and manual requirements-based software verification testing.
- Integrate and test software applications on Linux and Unix-based operating systems.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot software and hardware integration test environments.
- Support the integration of hardware modules into complex vehicle systems.
- Perform software deployment, configuration, and testing activities on Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software, hardware, and network-related issues.
- Utilize Git, GitLab, Jira, and other configuration management and issue tracking tools to support development and test activities.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Systems, and Software Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support cybersecurity hardening efforts, vulnerability scans, and system compliance activities.
- Ensure software solutions meet customer, technical, performance, quality, and system requirements.
- Participate in software verification and validation efforts throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor less experienced software test engineers and support their technical development.
- Document test procedures, test results, troubleshooting activities, and corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software integration and test.
- Experience developing, analyzing, or reviewing requirements for safety-critical real-time embedded software.
- Experience integrating software applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Experience with computer networking concepts, including switches, VLANs, and network protocols.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting communication protocol software, including CAN, Serial, and Ethernet.
- Strong programming skills using C++, Python, and BASH.
- Experience using version control and issue tracking tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Pay Range: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
