This is not your typical Application Developer II role! This role is ideal for a technically inclined professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting users, and maximizing the value of business applications. While a foundational understanding of systems and integrations is beneficial, the position is centered on application support, configuration, troubleshooting, and stakeholder partnership rather than full-scale software development. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to the business, ensuring critical applications operate efficiently and effectively to support organizational goals.
What You'll Be Doing
- Modifies and maintains application software to support both the internal and external business processes.
- Meets with analysts and project leaders to understand requirements and timelines.
- Collaborates with various functional teams to lead incident resolution.
- Diagnose data and performance issues with read-only SQL/Postgre SQL querying and slow-query analysis.
- Maintain existing code under minimal guidance from team
- Perform unit testing on programming changes.
- Document program revisions and overall solution design.
- Develop application and training documentation for software that is clear, succinct, accurate, and appropriately detailed.
- Assist in the creation or maintenance of application installation and troubleshooting guides for programs designed/developed.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day application issues and provides debugging support as needed.
- Test and identify best solutions, and create solution documents.
- Provide support as needed in case of outages, job failures, implementations, etc.
- Troubleshoot issues with systems worked with on a consistent basis.
- Assists in formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex applications.
- Help train end users on new applications or enhancements to existing applications.
- Constructively offer feedback and ideas for improvements in applications, processes, systems, and areas of a technical nature.
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience required
- Application Support, SRE, or similar technical support experience for a distributed or cloud-based application is preferred.
- 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent years of job experience required.
- 4 Year / Bachelor Degree preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language used by the product stack (e.g., Angular, TS, HTML, CSS., C#) sufficient to write and test code-level fixes, not just read them.
- Azure Application Insights (or equivalent APM) for distributed tracing and exception analysis, including KQL/Kusto query authoring, plus strong log-analysis skills across structured backend and frontend logs.
- SQL and PostgreSQL — confident read-only querying and slow-query diagnosis; ability to read and reason about .NET/C# and Angular/TypeScript stack traces and exceptions.
- Docker/containers — inspecting running services, logs, and configuration; comfort troubleshooting environment and deployment settings (env vars, feature flags, service config).
- Preferred: familiarity with Entity Framework Core query patterns (N+1/inefficient queries), Redis cache diagnosis, RPC-based/contract-first service architectures, .NET diagnostics (dotnet-trace/dotnet-dump), networking fundamentals (ingress/proxy, TLS, service-to-service connectivity), and CI/CD pipelines.

Physical Requirements
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer and phone. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Occasional mobility required to attend in-person meetings and complete various office tasks.
