Senior Software Engineer - Middle Office Technology - Boutique Hedge Fund - London - Up to $400k TC

We're working with the client exclusively to help them scale it's Middle Office Tech Team in NYC.

You'd take charge of the post trade and valuation technology estate at a well-established buy-side fund, working directly with Operations and the trading floor rather than through layers of BAs and project managers.

The engineering team is small and flat by design, each engineer owns a business domain outright, builds relationships with their users first-hand, and carries solutions from conversation to production.

Day to day, you'd be evolving the systems behind valuation, NAV production, compliance controls and the trade lifecycle, managing key OMS/PMS vendor relationships, and leading technical delivery across your patch. There's also a substantial build ahead as the firm broadens its asset class coverage, so plenty of greenfield work alongside the platform ownership.

What they are looking for:

• Previous experience supporting fixed income workflows on the buy side and know the products properly: rates derivatives, bond futures, repo, FX vanilla and ideally some exotics.
• Ideally some exposure to understanding macro strategies and how they flow through middle office processes, from end-of-day pricing through to NAV.
• Strong hands-on skills in Python and .NET, good architectural judgement, and the ability to own systems end to end rather than just contribute to them.
• Experience with institutional PMS platforms (Aladdin, Murex, Orchestrade or similar) and vendor integration work would be a real plus. Exposure to equities or commodities likewise.

The firm still runs with a start-up mentality, so you'll need to be happy mucking in beyond your immediate remit when it's needed.
