InfoLabs is hiring an experienced .NET Developer for a contract engagement supporting a large public health department client. We are specifically targeting developers with past or current state health care or state government agency experience.

What you'll do: design and build new secure database applications (.NET/C#, SQL Server) to replace a legacy Microsoft Access system that is no longer supported; build a new database for an ongoing survey project whose data collection instruments are still evolving; and enhance an existing surveillance database - improving data matching against the client's central registry, aligning variables across sources, reducing duplicate data entry, and improving usability. You'll work day to day with the client's data support unit and gather feature requirements from non-technical program teams. The data involved is highly sensitive, so the work is held to strict security and confidentiality standards.

What we're looking for:

  • 9+ years of professional .NET/C# development (ASP.NET / .NET Core) with SQL Server
  • Past or current experience at a state, county, or city health department or government health agency - this is the background we are prioritizing
  • Full-lifecycle database application design and development - you have built systems from the ground up, not just maintained them
  • Experience migrating or replacing legacy Microsoft Access applications
  • Strong data skills: matching/deduplication logic, reporting (SSRS or Power BI), and clean data exchange between systems
  • A track record working with confidential or regulated data (HIPAA or comparable standards)

W2 contract through InfoLabs' existing client contract.
