Full-Stack Developer

Your Role

As a Full-Stack Developer at Shelly, you sit right where product, engineering, and real-world customers need to meet. You design, build, and improve smart IoT solutions using a modern TypeScript-based stack, turning complex technical challenges into reliable, scalable, and user-friendly systems.

What makes you a great fit:

• You have solid experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript development

• You have hands-on experience with Vue, preferably Vue 3, and frontend tooling such as Vite

• You understand state management, routing, and frontend architecture, ideally with tools like Pinia, Vue Router, xstate, and VueUse

• You have strong backend experience with Node.js, Express, REST APIs, and WebSocket communication

• You work confidently with PostgreSQL, SQL, and time-series or high-volume data concepts

• You have experience with Redis, background jobs, queues, caching, and event-driven systems

• You understand authentication and authorization flows, ideally with OIDC, JWT, Passport, or Zitadel

• You have experience with dashboards, data visualization, charts, maps, or graph-based interfaces

• You are comfortable working with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, linting, and release tooling

• You know how to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code without overcomplicating things

• You enjoy solving technical puzzles and translating complex requirements into practical solutions

• You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical people

• You are curious, proactive, and excited by IoT, automation, smart devices, and connected systems

Your Responsibilities:

• You design and develop full-stack solutions using Vue, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express

• You build intuitive frontend interfaces for dashboards, automation flows, visualizations, maps, editors, and device-related data

• You develop backend services, APIs, WebSocket communication, background jobs, and integrations

• You work with PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, Redis, and SQL-based data access to handle real-time and historical IoT data

• You integrate authentication, permissions, certificates, and secure communication flows

• You support and improve embedded automation capabilities using Node-RED in the runtime

• You contribute to dashboards, monitoring, logging, and observability using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus metrics, and log systems

• You create reliable tests with Vitest and Playwright and support clean CI/release processes

• You work with Docker-based environments and collaborate on deployment-ready technical solutions

• You troubleshoot complex issues across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and integrations

• You collaborate closely with product, engineering, QA, and other teams to turn ideas into working solutions

• You keep performance, reliability, security, and usability in mind in everything you build
