Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, integrate, and support software solutions that meet evolving business needs. This role works across custom applications, SaaS platforms, third-party systems, APIs, databases, and cloud-hosted environments.

The Senior Software Engineer will provide advanced technical guidance, resolve complex application issues, and collaborate with IT leadership on strategic and tactical technology solutions. This individual may also lead project activities and mentor Software Engineers and Systems Analysts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support reliable software applications.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code using .NET and other programming languages.
• Maintain and enhance existing codebases and conduct peer code reviews.
• Apply Agile practices throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Develop and consume APIs to integrate applications, platforms, and data sources.
• Configure and customize on-premises, cloud-hosted, SaaS, and third-party applications.
• Write test scripts and implement quality-control processes to ensure application stability.
• Troubleshoot complex software, integration, and production-support issues.
• Design fault-tolerant solutions and recommend application improvements.
• Develop automation to improve system efficiency and operational reliability.
• Work with relational databases and SQL.
• Participate in DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and change-control processes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend application upgrades or replacement solutions.
• Partner with IT leadership to develop solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Evaluate technology options based on business needs, budget, internal capabilities, and long-term strategy.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and support to other engineers and analysts.
• Maintain technical documentation for applications, integrations, processes, and developed code.
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting project schedules and deliverables.
• Provide occasional on-call support outside regular business hours.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience in software development, application design, implementation, integration, and production support.
• Five or more years of software development experience using .NET Framework or related .NET technologies.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience developing or consuming APIs and integrating multiple systems.
• Experience troubleshooting software issues and debugging large or complex codebases.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python or additional programming languages.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud application experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, Oracle Cloud, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Docker or other container technologies.
• Experience implementing and supporting SaaS and third-party applications.
• Background in application modernization, automation, and cloud migration.
• Previous experience leading technical projects or mentoring software professionals.
