Senior .NET Developer – Agentic AI

Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire – this role will convert to FTE PERM

Client: Large 10 Healthcare Organization

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer with deep expertise in modern Microsoft development technologies and hands-on experience building AI-powered applications. The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who can independently design, develop, and deliver enterprise solutions while leveraging Agentic AI to solve complex business problems.This role requires someone who is equally comfortable developing scalable .NET applications and implementing AI agents using modern LLM technologies.

Required Technical Skills

.NET Development

• Strong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core / .NET

• RESTful Web API development

• Strong object-oriented design and software engineering principles

• Experience developing scalable enterprise applications

Agentic AI

• Hands-on experience designing and developing AI Agents

• Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications

• Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Microsoft AI Services

• Understanding of prompt engineering, tool calling, orchestration, and agent workflows

• Experience integrating AI capabilities into .NET applications

SQL Server

• Advanced T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Query optimization, Performance tuning,

• Database design and troubleshooting

Additional Required Experience

• Experience implementing security for REST APIs using Microsoft identity platforms (Azure AD / Active Directory)

• Understanding of authentication and authorization for React front-end applications

• Experience migrating OpenAI APIs to Microsoft Azure AI Services

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise AI-enabled applications

• Knowledge of microservices architecture

• Healthcare industry experience

• Experience mentoring junior developers or providing technical leadership
