Job Title: .NET Architect – AWS Cloud Migration

Location: New York City, NY (Onsite/Hybrid)

Job Type: Full-Time


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced .NET Architect with deep expertise in AWS Cloud Migration to lead the modernization and migration of enterprise applications to AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing scalable .NET solutions, cloud-native architectures, microservices, and enterprise integration. This is a hands-on architecture role requiring technical leadership, solution design, and close collaboration with business and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise .NET applications on AWS.
  • Drive application modernization and cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to AWS.
  • Design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
  • Develop migration strategies including rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and containerization.
  • Architect Microservices and REST APIs using .NET Core/.NET 6+.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Define architecture standards, best practices, and governance for cloud solutions.
  • Perform architecture reviews, code reviews, and mentor technical teams.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of software development experience with at least 5+ years in an Architecture role.
  • Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET 6/7/8.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale AWS Cloud Migration projects.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including:
  • EC2
  • ECS/EKS
  • Lambda
  • API Gateway
  • S3
  • RDS
  • DynamoDB
  • CloudFormation or Terraform
  • IAM
  • CloudWatch
  • SNS/SQS
  • Strong experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging technologies.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, authentication, and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, SSO).
  • Experience with SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
  • Experience with Kafka or event streaming platforms.
  • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Financial Services or Banking domain experience is a plus.
