We are seeking a Junior Industry Insights Analyst to support our growing portfolio of Horticulture and Fresh Food clients, representing AUD $1.3M+ in managed business.

This role is business-critical. The position provides essential insights and analytical support that underpin customer engagement, retention, and growth—particularly in the context of a rapidly expanding client base and recent double-digit winback success.

This is not a traditional data extraction role. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights, supporting commercial decision-making, and enabling Customer Success teams to deliver measurable value to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Commercial Support

  • Provide ongoing industry insights support for Horticulture and Fresh clients

  • Support onboarding and scaling of recent winback clients, ensuring high-quality insight delivery
  • Contribute to client presentations, reviews, and strategic discussions

Insights & Analysis

  • Translate complex datasets into clear, relevant, and actionable insights
  • Identify category trends, growth opportunities, and performance drivers
  • Move beyond basic reporting to deliver storytelling that drives commercial outcomes
  • Proactively highlight risks and opportunities within client portfolios

Data & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance of data outputs
  • Improve reporting processes and drive efficiency through automation where possible

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Analytics teams
  • Support internal stakeholders with industry knowledge and insights expertise
  • Contribute to building scalable insights frameworks for the team

Qualifications

Essential

  • 1–3 years’ experience in data analysis, insights, or related roles
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and generate insights
  • Experience using tools such as Excel, BI tools (e.g., Power BI/Tableau), or similar
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate data into clear business narratives
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable

  • Experience in FMCG, retail, fresh food, or horticulture sectors
  • Exposure to customer-facing or commercial environments
  • Understanding of category management or retail analytics

Key Attributes

  • Curious and proactive mindset
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Comfortable taking ownership and working with limited supervision
  • Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder engagement skills
