We are the Global Fintech Mexico team — aligned with Walmart's global vision while focused on delivering technology solutions tailored to the Mexican market. We foster an environment where technical curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning are fundamental to moving our business forward.

About the Role

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be an individual contributor in a platform-level role. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of the team's products on hybrid architectures, while also mentoring and coaching less experienced software engineers and defining the future technical direction of our current systems.

What You'll Do

  • Own and manage the development lifecycle of the products and ecosystem delivered by the team
  • Define coding standards and actively enforce their correct adoption across the team
  • Lead the team responsible for transforming legacy applications into modern technologies
  • Design the new ecosystem leveraging multiple tools across hybrid cloud environments
  • Communicate solution details clearly to the rest of the team and guide engineers toward correct implementations
  • Identify and build efficient paths to automate workflows, testing pipelines, and incident response
  • Plan and design the migration of legacy systems to the cloud or hybrid cloud environments

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of solid, hands-on coding experience with a primary focus on the .NET and .NET Core ecosystem
  • Deep knowledge of modern C# — including async/await patterns, LINQ, OOP, and the broader .NET framework
  • Strong knowledge of memory management and application profiling
  • Solid understanding of testing practices across the full software development lifecycle (unit, integration, E2E)
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and event sourcing patterns
  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
  • Proven experience implementing design patterns and integration patterns
  • Excellent ability to independently analyze complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and provide technical leadership
  • Actionable leadership and architectural vision to guide the team through complex technical challenges
  • Strong understanding of the cloud-based software development lifecycle and CI/CD practices
  • Deep knowledge of SSH, FTP and other network protocols.

Nice to Have
