Alliance for Recruitment is the largest recruitment consultancy in Lithuania measured by capacity, number of successful placements and annual growth. We are a high performing team of recruitment experts from various different industries.

Our client, Sentante, is developing a groundbreaking robotic platform for endovascular surgery featuring true 1:1 haptic force feedback - the only system of its kind in the world. Sentante is entering an exciting stage of growth. The company has a team of around 50 professionals based in Kaunas. As part of this journey, Sentante is looking for a

Senior Software Engineer (Windows Systems & Communications)

We are looking for a Windows C/C++ systems engineer who builds networked applications where performance and reliability are hard requirements, who treats security as a design constraint, who is comfortable at the boundary between software and hardware, who owns the full software layer end to end, and who leads a mixed-seniority team by maintaining the technical credibility that earns their trust.

You will own the Windows application software layer of the Sentante system - end to end, across all five products - and lead a team of up to six software developers at different levels of seniority. Your primary responsibility is to make the current software robust, performant, and fit for clinical use, while building the software architecture that will carry the remote intervention and AI features as they come online.

What you'll do

  • Write production C++ for software that runs continuously during surgical procedures
  • Design and implement real-time data flows: UDP haptic data at 500 Hz, TCP communications, RS485 serial protocol to six robotic manipulators
  • Drive cybersecurity implementation - TLS, certificates, secure updates - toward FDA compliance
  • Improve the workstation GUIs and shape the architecture for remote intervention

What we're looking for

6 + years of software engineering with a strong concentration in Windows C/C++ application development. At least 3 years building networked applications where communication reliability and latency were real engineering constraints, not incidental features.

  • Production-level C/C++ on Windows - 6+ years; memory correctness, long-run stability, real Windows API depth
  • Low-latency engineering - you have built a system where Windows timing was a hard constraint; expert multithreading
  • Socket-level networking - UDP/TCP at Winsock level; serial communications (RS485 or similar) robust to hardware misbehavior
  • Security awareness - TLS in C++ applications, input validation as habit, application-level threat modelling
  • A background in industrial automation, test & measurement, medical imaging or financial trading - where failures have consequences - is a strong signal.

Nice to have

  • Digital signal processing (FIR/IIR)
  • Video streaming (RTP/RTSP),
  • GUI development (Qt, MFC, Direct2D)
  • Computer Vision (OpenCV), IEC 62304 experience.

What we offer

  • A unique opportunity to design and build infrastructure for remote surgery technology that does not yet exist anywhere in the world.
  • A friendly, fast-paced startup environment with minimal bureaucracy.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • €500 employee referral bonus for successful hires.
  • Company-funded vaccinations to support employee health.
  • Team celebrations and company events throughout the year.
  • Two additional "no questions asked" leave days per year.
  • An extra day off to celebrate your birthday.
  • 4500-7500 EUR gross (final offer depends on individual experience and knowledge).
