Overview

  • Develop and support business-critical applications for a financial services firm across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Join a small, tight-knit engineering team with direct visibility into core business processes, not siloed on a single product.
  • Build new solutions while maintaining ownership of systems already in production.
  • Move fluidly between architecture, coding, and hands-on troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support applications across the full SDLC, from architecture through production support.
  • Provide ongoing support and improvement for systems built by yourself and other team members.
  • Document technical processes and business logic clearly for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely within a small team while independently owning assigned projects end-to-end.
  • Balance new development work with continuous support of legacy processes already in production.

Must Haves:

  • 4-7 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with C#
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL (query writing, optimization, schema design)
  • Experience working in financial services, capital markets, or investment banking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be documenting technical processes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Experience with IBM MQ or RabbitMQ
  • Experience with WPF
  • Understanding of microservice-based architecture
  • Familiarity with common design patterns
