Contract: 08/03/2026 - 06/30/2027. Historically, these roles are extended for an additional year.

Role Overview
Develop and maintain SSRS reports, database objects, .NET Core MVC applications, and reporting database solutions for the Department of Environmental Protection. The candidate must reside within 2 hour radius of Harrisburg region.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop new SSRS reports and database objects against complex SQL Server and Oracle enterprise databases.
- Modify or enhance existing SSRS reports and database objects as assigned.
- Create and maintain .Net Core MVC applications.
- Design relational and multidimensional databases.
- Perform performance tuning to ensure the quality and performance of SSRS reports.
- Test SSRS reports and database objects prior to user testing.
- Apply Agile development principles.
- Work with business users to gather and document requirements and ensure solutions meet their business needs.
- Assist in designing reporting database solutions and configuring report servers and security.
- Research functionality in new software releases and perform, document, and assist with upgrade processes.
- Use Azure DevOps work items and provide project statuses and project time estimates.
- Use GIT for the code repository.
- Adhere to Service Center and Governor's Office of Administration standards.
- Maintain best practices and mentor team members on standards and IT processes.
- Document all work for future reference.
- Independently execute tasks and work assignments.
- Create, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build and deployment.
- Publish reports to Power BI service workspaces and manage pipelines used to deploy reports to different environments.
- 3 years of related work experience.
- Extensive EXP working with Microsoft tools, with in-depth SSRS development knowledge and SQL Server Integration Services to perform ETL operations.
- In-depth experience with .net core, MVC, C#, dependency injection, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Extensive experience handling large datasets and reporting based on various data sources.
- In-depth experience working with Oracle databases and PL/SQL using SQL Developer.
- In-depth experience working with SQL Server databases and T-SQL using SQL Server Management Studio.
- In-depth experience with data modeling and the ability to analyze and understand database design.
- 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study desired.
