About The Role
Gotion is seeking a highly motivated Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Digitalization Team in Fremont, California.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, advanced manufacturing, and battery technology. You will help design and build next-generation digital platforms that support smart manufacturing, factory operations, enterprise productivity, industrial analytics, and data-driven applications.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership teams to develop scalable software solutions that support Gotion’s digital transformation and intelligent manufacturing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications.
- Build scalable backend services, APIs, and database solutions.
- Develop intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver software solutions.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in software architecture design, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Support software deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Follow software engineering best practices in coding, testing, documentation, and version control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience in full-stack application development.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Strong research background in Machine Learning, Data Science, LLMs or related fields (graduate research, publications, patents, open-source contributions, or industry projects) is a strong plus.
- Experience applying machine learning models to real-world applications, including prediction, optimization, computer vision, intelligent automation, recommendation systems, or data-driven software products.
- Experience in enterprise application development is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments.
- Experience working with large-scale data systems and data pipelines.
- Experience with manufacturing, industrial, or operational systems is a plus.
- Experience in battery, energy storage, automotive, renewable energy, or advanced manufacturing industries is a plus.
