This exciting opportunity to drive engineering excellence begins as an 12 Month W2 contract offering a comprehensive benefits package and the potential for extension.

Job Description


  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders on software engineering initiatives of moderate complexity, contributing innovative solutions and delivering well-crafted applications.
  • Analyze and address challenging software engineering problems, assessing variables and proposing effective resolutions.
  • Participate in strategic planning and execution of engineering deliverables, maintaining a strong understanding of compliance, policies, and procedures.
  • Leverage AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot daily for productivity enhancement, and articulate how these tools integrate into your workflow.
  • Monitor coding productivity improvements using AI, ensure high-quality and efficient prompt engineering, and manage AI context limitations effectively.
  • Consult with colleagues to support software engineering objectives and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.


Skill Requirements


  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in software engineering demonstrated through professional work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
  • Proficiency with .NET development; experience with daily use of LLM-based coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot) for code generation, prompt engineering, and workflow integration.
  • Familiarity with .NET, REST APIs, and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Strong understanding of prompt quality, improving productivity with AI (target: 20–50% lift), and managing AI token/context limits.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to consult across technical teams.
  • Nice to have: Hands-on experience with Azure, ASE cloud environment, and Azure DevOps.


Education


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
