Unit: Business Systems
FUNCTION: Responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications, specifically using the Microsoft .Net framework. Develop and support front end and backend components of an application.
PRIMARY TASKS:
- Gather and understand requirements and transform them into useful applications in line with the service goals.
- Build responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
- Build server-side components and APIs using .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and other related technologies.
- Design and implement relational database systems using SQL Server.
- Write code to integrate with databases such as MySQL, MSSQL, and Oracle Databases.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues and implement fixes in a timely manner.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
- Test applications to ensure they meet requirements and are free of bugs.
- Analyze, evaluate, and document user requests for new and modified systems and applications that may leverage existing technologies or incorporate new ones that need to be researched and evaluated.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Stay up to date with new technologies and best practices in web development.
- Follow the university rules and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
ESSENTIAL:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in C#, ASP.Net, and SQL Server.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with software design patterns, unit testing, and continuous integration/deployment.
- Understanding of web development concepts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies is preferred.
