General Purpose

The Technical Lead serves as a technical point of contact within Supply Chain IT for project

development initiatives and multiple end-user groups with a focus on Warehouse Management

Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS).

This Role Is Responsible For

  • Interpretation of functional and Non-functional requirements
  • Technical solutions including design, patterns and understanding system architecture
  • Coordinate with the development teams, cross functional teams and vendors
  • Stability and health of solutions delivered
  • Support production issues where applicable

Essential Functions

  • Lead technical teams, including portfolio/cross-functional and vendor teams
  • Interact with Business partners to understand their needs; perform feasibility
  • Hands on with code reviews and unit testing
  • Support system integration testing and user acceptance testing
  • Design interfaces, applications and reports
  • Visualize what-if scenarios/potential failures and ensure adequate monitoring and

notification is in place as part of the solutions built

  • Generate/ensure documentation for all work completed
  • Clear understanding and implementation of performance and scalability testing
  • Analyze and research to identify the best technical solution to a business problem
  • Configure, develop and modify IT applications
  • Problem solving including database/ application/UI performance tuning
  • Deploy packages progressively through development, staging and production

environments

  • Understand department policies with regards to warranty period support and assist

production support team with troubleshooting and de-bugging of production issues as

needed

With Particular Emphasis On The Following Specific Position-related Competencies

  • Java, Spring, .Net Frameworks
  • Oracle/SQL server Databases
  • Database Administration knowledge is a plus
  • WMS Knowledge
  • Splunk, Dynatrace, TOSCA, HP Performance Center
  • REST API, Mulesoft Integrations
  • Experience in Angular/ User interface development

Qualifications And Special Skills Required

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience as a technical Analyst/Lead in the Supply Chain

and/or Retail IT field

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, IT or any related field
  • Proven knowledge in distribution center operations and processes
  • Experience with Warehouse Management/controls Systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Hands on application development experience
  • Hands on performance testing/tuning, test automation tools
  • Hands on experience in REST API, SOAP based API, MuleSoft is a plus.
  • Experience working with IT Monitoring and Change Management tools
  • Intermediate to Expert SQL (Database Administration knowledge is a plus)
  • Understands database structures and data flow diagrams (DFD)
  • Experience working closely and effectively in a mix of business, technical, and

architectural teams to accomplish a goal

Physical Requirements/Ada

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.

Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person

meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

Consistent timeliness and regular attendance

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically

This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction,

meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this

role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.

Supervisory Responsibilities
