You will work on backend systems where digital flows meet the physical world: bookings, availability, payments, partners, products and customer journeys that have to work reliably across five countries, every single day.
Large parts of our backend will evolve over the coming years. We build primarily in TypeScript, while also working with C#, SQL, cloud infrastructure, app integrations, partner flows and real-world operational complexity. You do not need to be an expert in everything, but you should be curious about how it all fits together.

About The Role
You will work hands-on with backend development, architecture, integrations and business-critical services alongside our backend tech leads, frontend lead and product people, in a small, hands-on Tech team where your work has direct and visible impact.
Backend will be your main focus, but we value engineers who are curious about the wider technology landscape around the product and how it all fits together in practice.
This is not a role where you need to be the expert in every area. What matters is that you are a strong developer with good judgement and the drive to learn what is needed to solve the right problem. It is a senior specialist role with no people management.
Your main responsibilities
You will design, build and maintain the services and APIs behind our most important flows: modernizing existing components, reducing technical debt and building solutions that are reliable, scalable and easy to extend. You will contribute to architecture and technical design, work with tech leads on the hard problems, and help make our platform more modular, testable and operationally stable.
You care about how software runs, not just how it is written. You will help make our systems easy to deploy, monitor and troubleshoot, improve logging and observability, and support our ambition to release faster and with more confidence.
Backend work here regularly reaches into other areas, and you will get involved when it does: deployment, cloud, infrastructure, CI/CD, containers, observability and hosting, as well as frontend flows, app behaviour, AI opportunities, IoT devices and real-world operational constraints. You do not need to be a specialist in all of them; what matters is helping find and build the right solution wherever the problem leads.
Who you are
You are first and foremost a strong software engineer. Backend is your main strength, but you are not defined by one technical box. You are curious, pragmatic and motivated by learning new things: the kind of engineer who is comfortable stepping into unfamiliar territory when a problem calls for it.
You enjoy solving hard problems, but you also care about how the team works together. You bring energy, ownership and good judgement, and you help raise the level around you, both professionally and socially.
Experience with TypeScript/Node.js, C#, SQL, cloud, CI/CD or observability is helpful, but strong engineering judgement, curiosity and learning ability matter more than a perfect technology match.
