The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Creative Lead to join the Global Communications Business Solutions (GCBS) team, reporting to the GCBS Lead. This strategic leadership role will define and drive the creative direction for executive communications, marketing initiatives, campaigns, and multimedia content across Hitachi Global Marketing & Sales (GM&S).

As the Creative Lead, you will translate complex business strategies into compelling narratives and visual experiences, partnering closely with senior leaders to deliver impactful communications. You will provide creative leadership, establish concepts and storytelling frameworks, oversee project delivery, and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.

This role is focused on creative strategy, leadership, stakeholder engagement, and creative direction rather than day-to-day production. A key requirement is the ability to create exceptional executive presentations and visual storytelling materials for C-suite audiences, customers, and external stakeholders.

How you'll make an impact:

  • You will provide creative direction across GM&S initiatives, executive communications, campaigns, and strategic business projects.
  • You will define creative concepts, communication strategies, and storytelling frameworks aligned with business objectives.
  • You will lead the development of executive presentations and communication materials that simplify complex information into clear and compelling visual narratives.
  • You will provide creative leadership for corporate videos, multimedia content, and digital communications.
  • You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on storytelling, messaging, and presentation effectiveness.
  • You will lead and develop a team of creative professionals, driving quality, consistency, collaboration, and performance.
  • You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of creative projects in partnership with the Hitachi Creative Project Manager.
  • You will ensure brand consistency and contribute to the ongoing development of the Hitachi Energy brand system.
  • You will represent the creative function in leadership discussions and stakeholder engagements.

Your background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in creative leadership, creative direction, brand communications, executive communications, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience developing creative strategies, concepts, and executive communication narratives.
  • Expert-level PowerPoint presentation design skills with extensive experience creating presentations for C-suite, board-level, customer, and external audiences.
  • Strong executive storytelling skills with the ability to transform complex business content into high-impact visual communications.
  • Proven experience advising and influencing senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Experience leading creative teams and managing projects from concept development through delivery.
  • Experience providing creative direction for corporate videos, multimedia initiatives, and digital content.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Proficiency in Figma; experience with Frontify is an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.

Portfolio Requirement:

Please submit a portfolio showcasing executive communications, presentation design, brand, multimedia, and creative leadership work. For each project, clearly specify:

  • Your role in the project.
  • Whether you led the creative strategy and concept development or executed an existing concept.
  • Your level of involvement in stakeholder and executive engagement.
  • Team leadership responsibilities, where applicable.
  • Business outcomes or impact, where available.

Candidates who can demonstrate strategic creative leadership, concept development, executive storytelling, and exceptional PowerPoint expertise will be highly regarded.
