What You Will Be Doing
- Working as part of a small team on project development and integration of C# applications in a virtual environment.
- Designing, implementing, and sustaining simulation algorithms predicting orbital and suborbital trajectories.
- Deriving and coding equations of motion for boost, mid-course, and terminal guidance.
- Predicting and modeling emerging threats as events occur in the missile warning community.
- Interacting with customers to gather requirements and offer creative solutions, writing documentation, presenting project designs, performing user training, and attending requirements meetings.
- Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging application software that contains logical and mathematical solutions.
- Analyzing user requirements.
- Participating in the full software life cycle: designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining applications on Microsoft Windows-based systems.
- Performing agile software development in both unclassified and classified environments while utilizing software engineering best practices including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
- Other tasks as directed.
- Bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering, applied mathematics (Masters preferred) or another relevant field.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant mathematics and physics.
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience with C# .Net (preferred), Java, or C++
- Development in a DoD environment preferred
- Active Secret Security Clearance preferred, must be able to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance
- Experience or understanding of ITW/AA, Missile Warning, OPIR, UEWR, NDS or MDA ground/sea-based sensors highly preferred.
- Candidate must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and work well in a team environment and perform independently.
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $95,000-$130,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
